Mad Octopus Diving Club

We are Mad Octopus Diving Club 🐙 and we pioneer environmentally sustainable NFTs. 

• WHY: Everyday 8 million plastic pieces pollute our oceans.🌊 
• WHAT: Therefore we have created MODC to raise awareness for the problem and funds to donate to NGOs removing ocean plastic. 
• HOW: 

1. 70% of all proceeds through the NFT sale will be donated, 30% will be used for marketing and development cost. 
2. We are transparently communicating which NGOs we want to support and the holders of MODC NFTs are to decide what the split of donations to these NGOs will be. There are NGOs that accept donations in crypto, thus the donations will be transparent and visible on the blockchain. 
3. On top of that the environmental impact of each MODC will be stored on the blockchain as well, calculated through ETH prices at the moment of purchase as well as additional donations to the NFT which will increase the impact, backed by scientific papers on how much it costs to remove 1kg of plastic from the ocean. 
4. Holders and thus members of the Mad Octopus Diving Club will be eligble to: vote on the distribution of donations, receive giveaways like products made out of ocean plastic, participate in impact challenges to win prizes, and many more described in our roadmap.
