atomiq.exchange enables fully trustless cross-chain swaps between Bitcoin (on-chain & Lightning) and smart chains (live on mainnet: Solana & Starknet, more chains coming soon).

Powered by a custom-built light client architecture, atomiq uses Bitcoin’s proof-of-work to secure swaps in a smart contract escrow, eliminating the need for users to trust third parties like multisigs, bridges, or validators.

atomiq’s next-gen atomic swap design solves key pain points of earlier approaches. By directly linking Bitcoin UTXOs to vaults on smart contract chains, they eliminate the need for liquidity providers (LPs) to pre-lock funds and allow users to go offline once the swap is initiated, radically improving UX and capital efficiency.

Unlike traditional AMMs or bridges that depend on pooled liquidity, atomiq uses a request-for-quote (RFQ) system. LPs can dynamically quote trades, and users receive a binding quote before committing, ensuring zero slippage. LPs maintain full custody of their assets up until execution, with funds only locked for the duration of the swap (typically ~20 minutes, or instantly via Lightning).
