The renewed success for Virtuals Protocol is partly caused by innovation from the team, because Virtuals Genesis is gaining traction. On April 17th they launched this new product, and the impact of Genesis can clearly be seen in the graph below.
Genesis allows users to pledge VIRTUAL tokens to support the launch of an AI agent. Only when the community offers 112,000 VIRTUAL as support, the project can actually launch. This is not shown through a bonding curve, but more akin to an IDO or ICO. A single user’s allocation is capped at 0.5% of the token supply to prevent concentration.
This new product brought almost $13 million in volume into the Virtuals Protocol over the past 30 days. That’s an increase of 264% from the same period before..
However, the number of users increased 991%, while the transaction count increased 1,998%. This data suggests that more users with smaller wallets joined Virtuals Protocol, each of them providing an average of $180 worth of VIRTUAL.
