About Crypto Checkers
The cryptocheckers DAPP page uses the referee contract on the Harmony blockchain. A player can deposit, lock and/or withdraw his ONE coins into this contract. This is done through the main DAPP page of the cryptocheckers site. If a player locks his coins, he may unlock them by invoking the unlock button on the DAPP page. A player will be charged a fee for unlocking. He may withdraw his unlocked coins at any time by clicking the withdraw button.
Before locking in the ONE coins, a player may change the turn duration that they are willing to play. Once the coins are locked, they are not allowed to change the turn duration.
The checkers game will only proceed if two player’s have their crypto locked. When a game is won, the cryptocheckers server will transfer the tokens from the loser to the winner using the transfer function. The locks will be removed after the locked ONE tokens have been transferred. A fee will be deducted.
The fee’s are listed on the main dapp page.
A player who is online and waiting to be joined will be designated as player1 when someone initiates a join. The person who initiates the joining will be assigned as player2. Player1 is required to make the first move. The turn duration of player 1 will be used. Once two player’s are engaged in a game, the game must be played to the end. A player can lose by quiting when it’s their turn, timing out, or when they actually lose all their pieces.
On mobile, a simulated contract and wallet are used. No real cryptos are traded on the mobile version of the game. On the desktop or laptop a Metamask wallet can be used to play with real Harmony ONE coins.
