India has at least 20 kinds of art forms (Nijhawan; Bhattacharya, 2021) that have seen a major decline in production (Bhardwaj, 2021) simply because artists have shifted their focus to other occupations involving more money — a phenomenon that has begun to fade contemporary expressions of our rich culture.

Naksh aims at building a community that will work towards the rebirth of the Indian traditional art market — helping artists bring their work to more collectors across the globe. And to build this community right, we have taken the decision of building it on NEAR protocol.

We at Naksh are working towards a future where art exchanges are convenient and transparent – making it beneficial for both the buyer and the artist. Naksh will be approaching artists who have been practising traditional art forms and helping them mint their NFTs with us – curating one of the best collections of Indian artforms for a global audience to choose from, facilitating more production.

We provide our buyers with a lens of empathy, and a chance to support artists – all while exploring newer forms of art.
