Spellborne

Spellborne is an open-ended, retro-inspired monster-catching MMORPG with a pixel-art style, drawing heavy inspiration from classic Pokémon-style gameplay. 

Players start in Yorokobi Town as one of three hunters—Atom, Bellatrix, or Cosmo—each with unique goals and attributes (Luck, Intelligence, or Charisma) that provide gameplay boosts, such as improved NPC interactions, crafting, or fishing outcomes. The game focuses on capturing, training, and battling creatures called “Mons” in nostalgic turn-based combat. Players can also engage in farming, fishing, crafting, and mini-games like Pandoro Run, adding variety to the experience.

The game features an engaging, choice-driven narrative set in the world of Celestia, where player decisions shape the story. You can fight against the tyranny of The Order, align with Team Crux, or focus on becoming the greatest hunter. The story unfolds through main quests, exploration, and interactions with NPCs, who offer rewards and advance the plot.

Spellborne supports PvP tournaments, guild communities, and monthly events like Double Exp, Tower of Eternity, and Soul Exchange, which allow players to catch rare Mons and earn exclusive rewards. 

It’s free-to-play, accessible via web browsers, with (planned) apps for iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, and Linux. Players can sync progress across devices using Google or Apple accounts. An optional blockchain component integrates NFTs for character skins, but it’s not required for full gameplay.
