About Stimpak Duels
How It Works
Tournament Types
Stimpak Duels is a PvP (Player-vs-Player) DeFi trading platform built on Arbitrum and powered by GMX, transforming cryptocurrency perpetual trading into competitive, gamified battles where traders can compete head-to-head or in tournaments to win USDC prizes based on skill and performance. It operates as part of the broader Stimpak multichain DeFi ecosystem, emphasizing high-stakes, community-driven competitions that leverage GMX’s deep liquidity, secure on-chain price feeds from Chainlink, and minimal slippage for a fair and robust trading environment.
To participate, users create or join a Duel by staking USDC as collateral, setting parameters such as buy-in fees, leverage limits, event duration (ranging from 1 hour to 7 days), start time, participant limits, and the specific asset to trade (e.g., ETH/USD or SOL/USD perpetuals). Once the Duel begins, traders open and close leveraged positions on GMX. Profits increase a participant’s “health bar” (representing performance), while losses decrease it. A live leaderboard tracks realized PnL (Profit and Loss) in real-time, and features like in-app chat allow for banter and strategy sharing among competitors. At settlement, the trader with the highest PnL wins approximately 95% of the prize pot in USDC, with the remaining 5% going to Stimpak as platform fees; losers can withdraw their unused collateral.
Head-to-Head Duels: Direct one-on-one battles where two traders compete under set rules.
Deathmatch Tournaments: Multi-participant events, often lasting several days, with a growing prize pot. These can include sponsored versions, like GMX-sponsored Friday Duels where the pot is matched up to $500 USDC. Entry fees start as low as $5–$20, encouraging broad participation.
