        A “postcard” is a rectangular piece of paper or card that is sent through the mail, typically featuring an illustration or photograph on one side. The other side provides space for writing messages, along with areas for a postage stamp and the recipient’s address. Postcards are usually about 4×6 inches in size and often include information about a location or event that the sender has visited or that relates to the recipient. Postcards can serve various purposes, including personal communication, marketing, and advertising. They can be printed with images, text, or a combination of both and can be customized to suit the sender’s needs.

        However, paper postcards contribute to global warming as their production and distribution involve processes that impact the environment. The production of paper requires cutting down trees, leading to deforestation and a reduction in carbon absorption. Additionally, the manufacturing process consumes energy and water while emitting greenhouse gases. The transportation of postcards, whether by land or air, further adds to carbon emissions. As a result, the traditional use of paper postcards, while nostalgic and charming, has environmental consequences that contribute to climate change.

        Therefore, we have built the NFT-Postcard platform to address these issues. NFT-Postcard is an eco-friendly initiative leveraging blockchain technology to replace traditional postcards with digital alternatives. The project aims to reduce carbon emissions, minimize deforestation, and promote sustainable travel by creating unique and verifiable NFT-Postcards.
